 dosage and schedule

Start by taking one capsule daily (with intention) in the morning.
It’s helpful to spend at least 10 minutes in mindfulness after taking the medicine. If you can be outside in nature, even better.
You can take these capsules intuitively as it is safe to adjust the dosage; however, start slowly – 1 capsule per day . If needed, you can try moving to 2 capsules - one in the morning and one after lunch. Do not exceed 3 capsules per day except under the supervision of a qualified health care practitioner.

You can increase the absorption of the medicine by opening the capsule, mixing it into a beverage, and taking it on an empty stomach. If you are sensitive to the effects of the medicine, take it after a meal.

Recommended schedule:
5 days taking the capsules and 2 days off.
You are welcome to adjust the schedule based on your intuition and needs. For example, if you are in the flow of some deep personal work supported by the spirit of the mushrooms, continue past five days and break when you feel a natural pause / completion of the piece of inner work.

Mindfulness in Microdosing:
Pay attention to subtle thoughts and feelings that arise within yourself. Reflect on patterns that you feel are beneficial and letting go of ones that don’t serve.

Because the effects can be very subtle in nature, many people find it helpful to journal reflections throughout the process.

Setting an Intention: These medicines are helpful for re-patterning and reprogramming neural pathways in the nervous system. Setting intentions that focus on looking within yourself, invoking parts of self, or letting go parts of self can be very helpful.

For example:
“My intention is to feel a full spectrum of emotion within myself, and to reveal any parts of self that are blocking me from accessing this”.

Your intention can also be an affirmation:

“My intention is to feel joy today” or “My intention is to feel connected to myself and others”.

Accessing Positive Emotions & Memories: You can use the medicine to help recall times in your life when you felt safety, joy, and connectedness. Spend time in these positive memories and notice any subtle shifts in your body. Then, see if you can bring these pleasant sensations into the present moment, while maintaining awareness of your body’s response. Remember to focus on full, deep breaths as you do it. 

Exploring Difficult Emotions or Memories: When unproductive thoughts or troubling emotions arise, see if you can allow yourself to experience those feelings without judgment. Practice identifying the emotion (e.g. anger, grief, resentment), without labelling it “good” or “bad”. Once you are comfortable doing this, begin to inquire into the root of these thoughts / emotions. What part of you is feeling those emotions? What messages do they have for you?

For example, if you suddenly feel anxious, allow yourself to notice and identify the emotion. Explore the feelings present in your body. Where is the anxiety showing up? What sensations are associated with it? Observe these sensations without judgement, then ask your body what message it is trying to convey to you.

The greatest gift that the mushroom spirit can bring is SHIFTS IN PERCEPTION. To receive it, all we must do is become curious and open to observing / witnessing ourselves though a different lens. When we compassionately communicate directly with our bodies, without judgement or expectation, we create opportunities for profound insight and shifts in habitual patterns.
